I regret that I am obliged to publish this plant with some
degree of uncertainty, whether it be really the species named
phlehoph^us by D i t m a r , or not. Though I cannot, however,
refer It to any other, it is possible that it may prove to be As;
vascipes, a species contained in the index to the Systema M y !
cologicnm of F r i e s , but only noticed incidentally under A g .
p i e op orws yet A g . vascipes, though agreeing in many
respects, is said to have a striated margin, which is not present
in our species.
