Calyx of two oblong, concave, caducous leaves. Petals
roundish, pale sulphur-yellow, waved and very delicate.
Stamens numerous. Germen oval, or a little broader upwards,
hispid, crowned with the few-rayed stigma. Capsule
obovate, marked with as many ribs as there are rays
(4 to 6) to the stigma, and opening by orifices beneath the
stigma and between its rays.
