Wednesday, October 80,1816.
During the night the wind
shifted to the Northward, and
continued to blow fresh, with a
heavy swell. Saw the islands
of Botel-Tobago-Zima, and
Formosa.
The breeze moderated, and
the swell abated considerably
as we drew near the land.
But towards midnight, as we
stood off the land, the breeze
freshened up again.
Thursday, October 31, 1816.
Passed Formosa, and entered
the China sea.
