To-day we are about halfway
between th e S E part of
Corea and the Chusan islands,
each being about 50 leagues
distant; the mouth of the great
riyer Yang-tse-kiang is nearly
W 50 leagues, and the promontory
of Shan-tung N by W 100
leagues.
