Th re e varieties o f tliis fpecies are Ihewn in this plate, one o f w hich has th e wing-cafes entirely immaculate,
th e other two are varioufly marked w ith fpots o f dark greeniih black. N o th in g can be more
variable in colour th an this infeft, fcarcely any two in this re fpeft refembling each other. I t is not
uncommon in New South Wa les, b u t has not been hith erto described.
