n ^ H I S pretty Peziza adheres to decaying oak leaves, by its
1 whole under iide. The diik is of a dark green'colour.
The margin broad in proportion, and black. The figures, on
the leaf, are the natural fizej the two feparate ones are magnified
I faw this plant, in abundance, on the fallen decaying
leaves in North-Dean, in December, 1785, when this figure
was taken. I find no account of it amongft authors.

O^HIS' grows on dunghills, when they become dry by long
1 lying unmoved. The diik is of 1 itrong brown^ The fubftance
of the plant thin, adhering by its whole bafe, except the
margin V which^is entire, a little elevated, thin, .and of a pale
kind of olive colour. I find no proper account of this fpeciea.

I margin, deftitute of hairs,;" but my plant is quite diihn£t
from the Peziza Jcutellala, in any of its ftates or ftages. 1
have met with it in feveral places about Halifax, but not in
great plenty.
