George Mackenzie, growing eight
feet high, in a cleft of lava near
Buderistad in Snoefel-syssel. . Another
plant of the same was also
discovered by the sàirie gentleman
at Eyafiord, on thè north coast.

Rosa hiberriica.—This, the only species of
Rosa discovered in Iceland, was
sent me by Mr. Paulsen, with the
following remàrk : “ Nulli hie
prius obvia. Crescit in rupe unica
