Caulis pedalis pubescens, pilis laxis (exsiccatione)-scariosis ssepius deorsum directis, ad insertion« fo-
liorum magis densis, uniflorus.. Bractea foliacea, magnitudine valdß varians, nunc genuine brevior, nunc
florem superans. Folia caulina, circiter 4-5, remojirascula, amplexicaulia, lato-lanceolata, sensim acuminata,
acuta, multinervia, tenuia, minime carnosa, pube brevissima rara ciliata et utrinque, magis tarnen
subter villosiuscula; superiora 4-pollicaria, florem ssepius superantia, inferiora sensim in squamas vaginantes
diminuta. Flores parvi, floribus Cypripedii guttati minoribus. Petala multinervia; dua exteriora flaves-
centi-viridiä, extus puberula et ocu'lo armato pilis obtusis ciliata, superius lato-ellipticum fere orbiculatum,
concavum, unguiculare, inferius (ex duobus connatis formatum) orbiculatum, brevissim^ acuminatum, bicus-
pidatum, labello dimidio brevius; dua interiora (lateralia) alba, ligulata, apice rotundata,. vix petalo supe-
riori longiora. Labellum obovatum, inflatum, magnitudine vix ovi.passeris, petala lateralia longitudine
subsequans, ore rotundato parvulo, marginibus inflexis, extus.glabrum, album, intus pubescens purpureo-
maculatum, venis flexuosis. Columna (fructificationis) postice filamento starainis sterilis expanso in lobum
petaloideum, venosum, elliptico-cordatum, obtusiusculum, supra canaliculatum, apice ascendente fulvo, late-
ribus purpureo maculatis; filamentis latefalibus singulis cornu obtusum transversum cui anthera affixa
est emittentibus. Stigma peltatum, sub-orbiculatum,- convexum, villosiusculum, sub tegmine lobi petaloidei.
Germen pedunculatum, longitudine circiter labelli, inclinatum, oblongum, infra attenuatum, prismaticum,
costatum, pube scariosä villosum. Caulis aridus anni praeteritis epidermide et foliis orbatus capsulam
Tuptam gerens et caulis floriferus saepe contigue in radicem (repentem ?.) infixi sunt.

Obs. Accedit C. spectabili quod differt caule saepius bifloro, floribus multd majoribus, labello antice fisso
etnotis aliis.
