Our specimens of this plant were lost in crossing the Barren Grounds; but the abate description, which
was taken from the live plant, agrees with specimens in the Banksian Herbarium, brought from Unalaska,
by Mr. Nelson.

Racemus terminalis raultiflorus ssepius basi ramosus; pedicellis pollicaribus, apicibus incrassatis ; bracteis
membranaceis, lanceolatis, concavis, acutis, pedicellis dimidio brevioribus. Flores viridescenti-albi, mas-
culini hermaphroditis immixti. Corolla laciniis sex patentifeus, obovatis basi attenuatis, infra' medinm
glandule viridi obcordati profund^que emarginatd. munitis. Filamenta corollain subsequantia. Capsula
membranacea tricocca, trilocularis ovata, acuminata, corolld emarcid& obtecta. Semina plurima angulata
in loculamentis duplici ordini infarcta.

Ramuli floriferi foliosi. Interdum planta tota fuscescit. Folia masticata saporem acidam gratam edunt.
