minatis suffultis. Calyx cylindricus squamis paucis laxis minoribus calyculatus. Squamarum apices niger-

serratis, apicibus lev iter sphacelatis et oculo armato lacero-ciliatis, in basi villoso involucri receptaculum
amplectente serie simplici insidentibus. Ligulce femineae; laminä oblongo-lineari, apice obsolete dentato,
integerrimove, 4-nervi, patente, mox reflexä, vel sub-revoluta, tubum suum longitudine superante. Flosculi
hermaphroditi, perfecti, longitudine involucri; tubo gracili, basi obverse semi-globoso; limbo anguste
cyathiformi, longitudine sui tubi, quinque nervi, quinque dentato, dentibus semi-lanceolatis nervoque
circum marginatis. Antherce semi-exsertae, basibus muticis, appendicibus apicis linearibus, liberis, acutis.
Ovaria sub-cylindracea. Stigmata intus sulcata, apicibus capitatis, villosis. Receptaculum planum
nudum. Semina decem-sulcata, in sulcis praecipue pilis brevissimis erectis hirta.
