I have not the least doubt that this insect is identical with the Brazilian species,
llhinastus sternicornis, o f Schonherr, although the specific name given to it by Donovan
implies it to be a native o f China. Some mistake had doubtless arisen relative to the
original country o f which it is an inhabitant which led our author into this error
