This curious butterfly was found in the province o f Pe-tche-lee, in China. It is in all
probability the female o f Pap. (N.) Liria, Fabr.
It is represented, with P . Antiochus, on a lea f o f the Urtica N iv e a (W h it e N e ttle ).»

This insect is very rare in European cabinets o f insects. The specimen figured by
Drury came from the Brazils, and Cramer’s from Surinam. Fabricius, however, describes
