To those who do not u nderstand the botanical distinctions
between one genus and another, the Polypodium p h y llitid is may
v ery naturally be called the H a r t’s-Tongue F e rn of the Tropics,
as in the form of the frond it has some slight resemblance to
our Scolopendrium milyare.
