
P . deflexum is graceful, and well deserving to be generally
cultivated.
T h e fronds, which are glabrous, are pinnate, th e pinnæ being
lanceolate-acuminate in form, deflexed, coriaceous, and undulated.
T h ey are rounded at the base, aud articulated with the rachis;
the lower ones freq u en tly divided.
T h e frond, which varies from one to two feet in length, is
of a heavy dull green colour.
Stipes and rachis very d ark green. L ate ra l, articulated on a
creeping rhizoma, which is covered with brown scales.
Sori biserial and prominent.
