T h e present species is not common in cultivation; it is an
ornamental F e rn , and makes a pre tty plant.
Usually, the len g th of the frond is about nine inches, and
the width one inch and a q u a rte r; occasionally it exceeds twelve
inches in length. , i i i
The frond is pinnate, the pinnte being entire, and attached
to the midrib by a short stalk. The frond is of an oblong
ovate form, the base being caudate.
