T h i s desirable P e rn is not so generally cultivated as might
have been supposed, when it is considered that it has been in
this country du rin g the past fifteen years. I t seems to be
an easily cultivated species under ordinary F e rn management.
I t appears to be the Ooniophlehium latipes of gardens, b u t
not the G. latipes of Langsdorff and F ische r, which is a distinct
species.
I t was first introduc ed into the Royal Gardens, Kew, in the
year 1841, having been received from the Royal Gardens of
Berlin.
