Hymenophyllum—Membranc-leaved. Flexuosxim—Bending.
A BEAUTIFULLY crísped and undulated F ern from New
Zealand, allied to Hymenophyllum crispatum, b u t having larger
and more divided fronds. A Selaginella-looldng species.
Fronds erect, stiff, almost deltoid, tri-quadripinnatifid, broadly
ovate, with narrow, linear, entire, undulated segments.
Stipes and rachis winged.
L ength of frond ten or twelve inches.
Involucres broader than the segments, terminal, free, orbicular,
entire, and two-valved to the base.
Rhizoma like Hymenophyllum crispatum, b u t still shorter.
Requires a very humid atmosphere, with a temperature of
from 40° to 65°.
