Yfoins simple, or once or twice forked.
Sori broad and costal, with broad involucres.
Caudex stout, erect, and covered with large, shaggy, lanceolate,
pale ferrugmous scales.
^ Stipes light brown, scaly at the base, and from six to twelve
mcnes m length.
Fronds from ten to eighteen inches in length. Length of
pmnce from two to two and a h a lf inches, except the nltimate
pinna, which is twice this length.
^ The copious pellucid dots on the pinme render this an
interesting object for the microscope.
