ill texture, shining, and smooth. Stipes longish. Pinnules
sessile; apex obtusely crenate.
Ehizoma stout, erect, and clothed with dark brown scales.
Length of frond from twelve to eighteen inches; width about
six inches. Length of pinnæ about three inches.
Sori serial and large.
