are irregular in size and’fo'rm, but are mostly hexagonal, not oblique,
and often little more than a mere reticulation.
My friend Captain C a r m i c h a e l had attached to the specimen
he kindly sent me the name of reticulatus of F r i e s .
I have presumed to differ from him, as the pores scarcely agree
with the character, and the colour changes in the dried specimens
to a brown. I certainly consider it as an undescribed
species.
