W. thomassoni, but there does not seem to be any exact definition of the light throat as there is in
the latter species.“
The specimens described were all collected by Mr. John Whitehead in Luzon and are now
in the British Museum. The male in the Seebohm Collection ijs from North Luzon, and the
same specimen is figured in the Plate. The female described is from the Benquet district,
and the figure of the female has been taken from a bird in the Seebohm Collection from North
Luzon.
