Fronds glabrous, linear, p innate, reclining, pinnæ opposite or
alternate, about ten pairs, sessile, trilo b ed , tbc pinnæ nearest
the apex are usually hilobod, cordate at the base, coriaceous,
having a cartilaginous margin: ultimate pinnæ trilobed.
Uachis and stipes p u rp le , being covered with a plum-likc
bloom; stipes pubescent, with long and th in whitish scales;
termina l, adherent to a short creeping rhizoma, which is scaly.
Sori linear, continuous; indusium v ery narrow.
L en g th of frond from twelve to cightecu inches; colour a
b lu e green.
