Raised from spores at the Royal Gardens, Kew, in the year
1842.
Fronds- trian g u la r, h ip in n a te ; pinnules cordate-lanceolate,
having the singular p ro p e rty of rolling the margins u n d e r, and
thus becoming arrow-shaped; stalked, smooth, glaucous.
Sori linear, continuous, b ro ad ; indusium narrow.
Rachis and stipes pale brown, lateral, adhe ren t to a b rief
creeping rhizoma.
L en g th of frond from eighteen inches to two feet; colour
glaucous green.
