Fro n d s glabrous, su b-bipinnate; pinnæ linear-lanccolatc and
drooping, lowest pair bip a rtite and petiolulate, segments linear-
acuminate, rep an d , serrate margin, costa spinulose on the upper
side; late ra l, or terminal, attached to a short creeping rhizoma.
Stipes twenty inches in length, circular, scaly near the base;
vivid green in colour, except near the base, Yvhere brownish.
Sori continuous, commencing at th e base, y e t not extending
