Shell ovate, scarcely keeled, slightly convex, smooth, of a da rk chesnut brown c o lo u r ; marginal liga ment
coriaceous: anterior a n d posterior valves, and lateral are® o f the middle valves obtusely radiately ribbed ;
c entral are® o f th e middle valves longitudinally striated ; valves broad.

Shell oblong, rather convex, slightly keeled, marginal ligament coriaceous, undulated ; valves smooth, of
a dull pale greenish brown, light brown in the center.
Inhab.
The specimen appears to have been w o rn ; it is probable th a t small bunches o f h airs existed on the marginal
ligament.
