J N this table are reprefented, in a man, (after cutting off
the bodies of the dorfal vertebrae) the ftru^lure of the furface
of the fpinal marrow, the rife of the anterior and pofterior
bundles of the dorfal nerves, a ganglion in the pofterior
bundle, and the connection of the two bundles with each o^
ther, and with the great fympathetic nen^e.

correfponding dorfal nerves.

bundles of fibres.
O The pofterior fpinal branch of the fifth dorfal nerve. The anterior and
pofterior bundles of the fpinal nerves pafs through different holes of the
dura mater, and each receives, from its inner layer, a thin flieath. The
two cords are tied together and covered by the cellular iubilance on the
outfidc of the dura mater condenfed, fo that they feem to form one cord.
