H A branch from the upper part of the olfaétory, or firft pair of nerves,
dividing upon the feptum narium into two branches
I The nafal branch of the fécond branch of the fifth pair of nerves.
IC A branch fent outwards from 1.
LM A large branch from I, running along the bottom of the nofe at the
root of the ieptum narium.
N A fmall twig from this nerve, running downwards and forwards, with
the canahs incifivus, which is a large tube in all quadrupeds.

where they are much larger than in man, difcovered this remarkable branch, and traced it eafily, as
