F ruit very large, broad and cordate at the base,
convex on one side, flattened on the other, with
a broad suture. A pex slightly depressed. S k in
dark purplish red, or almost black, covered with
numerous minute dots of a palish colour. F lesh
deep purplish red, darkest next the stone, from
which it parts freely; tender, ju icy , with a rich
sweet flavour. S talks long and slender. S tone
small, roundish, compressed.
