Leaves generally rather small, elliptical, pointed,
the margin entire, or but slightly crenated. P e tioles
slender, and longish. S tipules linear.
F lowers middle-sized, obovate, tapering to the
claw.
F ruit large, somewhat roundish, broadest towards
the E ye ; the latter is open, in a slight, even
hollow. S talk short, sunk at its insertion. S kin
green, becoming only a little paler even when the
fruit is ripe, thickly speckled with dark brown
russet. F lesh whitish, melting, juicy, sugary, and
rich.
