those of the Green Gage. P etioles firm, half an

F lowers middle-sized. P etals roundish-
oblong. S tamens shorter than the style.
F r uit, except in colour, very like the Green
Gage, middle-sized, roundish-oval, somewhat flattened
at the ends. S uture moderately depressed
along one side. S talk about an inch long, rather
thick. S k in violet, powdered with a light blue
bloom, beneath which it is engrained with pale
yellow dots. F lesh greenish-amber, rich, sugary,
and strikingly high flavoured. S tone oval, inclining
to ovate, compressed.
