Leaves very large, roundish-cordate or ovate,
in some degree cucullate, generally auricled at the
base; petiole with about 6 equidistant glands: a
character, however, which is too variable to be of
importance in apricots.
Flowers of the ordinary size.
F r u it next in size to the Moor-park, rather
oval, slightly compressed, of a dull yellow, slightly
coloured with red on a small space. S u t u r e shallow.
F le s h pale orange, very firm, juicy, sweet and high
flavoured, with a slight degree of acidity. S to n e
large, oval, not adhering to the flesh, blunt at each
end, with scarcely any passage in the edge. K e r n e l
slightly bitter; much less so than in the Moorpark.
