I K , The laileal veflTcls from the ftomach and inteftines joining to form the
receptacle of the chyle L, which was filled with quickfilver.
M, A plexus of ladeals, which terminate in the right vena cava.
N, Another plexus of ladeal veflels, which run to the left fide, behind or
above the cefophagus; which was cut acrofs in order tliat they might be feen.
O, The continuation of the plexus of lacteal veiTels N, with an addition of a
plexus of very large lymphatic veiTcls which came from the left roe.
P, The laft receptacle of the lymph cut open, into which, the lacteal veflels
pour the chyle, or P is the chief receptacle of the chyle and lymph blended.
