A T H IC K fleshy-looking Eern, very different in character and
general appearance to any other species in the Asplenium family.
A Eern with broad large pinnæ, perhaps more singular than
beautiful, but well worth growing for the sake of diversity of
foliage.
It appears to be easily cultivated, and requires only ordinary
care to produce a good specimen.
The Fern grown in continental gardens under the name of
Asplenium foecundum is evidently this species.
Introduced into the Eoyal Gardens, Kew, in 1825, by Mr,
Thomas Eraser.
