Asplouium serra is a stove Fern.
A native of Brazil.
Fronds lanceolate, jiinnate, having pendulous pinnæ, which are
lanceolate, elongate-acuminate, coriaceous, petiolate, the inferior
base Avedge-shaped, and the upper base circular, deeply serrate
on the margin.
Length of frond from two feet to two feet and a half ; evergreen,
dark green.
Eachis and stipes profusely covered with thin broAvn scales,
terminal, being attached to a stout scaly creeping rhizoma.
Sori linear, and situated near the costa.
