On the fu ll and change days it was h ig h water in the
Typa at 5" 15”, and in Macao harbour at 5" 50“ . T h e greateft
rife was fix feet one inch. T he flood appeared to come
from the South Eaftward; but we could not determine
this point with certainty, on account o f the great number
o f iflands which lie o ff the mouth o f the river o f Canton.
