vessel, in this species, is of a pale straw colour, elliptical and deeply sacculated, while in
E . tricolory the same vessel is violet-coloured and nearly linear.
The little animal for which M. de Quatrefages has instituted his genus Amphorina3 looks
very like the young of this species.
