This delicate and very beautiful Fern has, in a great degree, the habit and general appearance
of Gyptogramnia leptophylla; but it is much larger, more divided, and th e pinnules are o f a
different figure.
The specimens here figured were communicated iu 1826 by th e Messrs. Shepherds, from the
Liverpool Botanic Garden, whence it was received from M. Otto o f Berlin. Our friend Mr, Menzics
has given us a specimen which he gathered in Jiunaica, and wdiich he has marked as the Hemioniiis
cicutaria of the Bank.sian Herbarium ; a name certainly equally applicable w'ith th a t already
published by Poirot ami Desvaux.
Professor Hiiddi has not iucludecl this in his Filices BrasUienses.
