Caudex longns, repens, carnosas, nigi'o-fiiscns, supra relìquiis stipitum vetustorum tectus, hic üüc fibrosus.
Frondes bi-tripedales, simpliciter pinnatæ, e re c te ;
Stériles, circumscriptione oblonga, basi attenuata, apice acuta. Stipes subpedalis, tres quatuor lineas longus,
squamulis ferrugineis obsitus, basi teres, auriculatus, facie superna canaUculatus. Rachis compressa, ad
pinnarum insertionem nodosa, superne membrana utrinque alata. Pinnæ subremotoe, breviter petiolatæ,
oppositoe, 4— 6 -pollicares, inferiores multo minores, ovales, reliquæ oblongo-ellipticoe, apice attenuatæ,
dentato-serratæ, basi inoequali subcordata, supra intense virides, glabriusculæ, subtus paUidiores, margine
incrassato ; costa subtus ferrugineo-squamosa, nervis numerosis pai-allelis distinctis fere horizontalibus, simplicibus,
vel, rarissime, furcatis ;
Ferliks, quoad forniam, fore omiihio ut in sterilibus, sed pmnoe multoties nugustiores, lineuri-lanceolataî,
ncmninotæ, margine nndulatoe potius quam sorrnlni. Indusium membranacetnn, soros nndique cingens.
Copsulte 12—16, ovales, nervo, u t nobis videtur, iu séries geminatas et aixte connotas tmltoe, massam (vel sornm)
nnicam Ibicarem formantes, parallelæ, e t totam fere inferiorem paitem pinnarum occupantes, superne
poro dehiscentes.
