 Planta  cæspitosa. 
 Stipes duas  ad tres  uncias  longus,  erectus,  paululum  flexuosus,  gi-acilis,  squamosus,  squamis  lanceolatis,  raembra-  
 naceis,  serratis,  nei-voso-reticulatis,  fuscis. 
 Frondes vix unciam  longæ,  costatoe,  enerves. 
 Siet-ilcs  oblongæ,  obtusæ,  virides,  utrinque  margineque  squamosa,  squamis brevioribus latioribusque quam  in  
 stipite. 
 Fertiles sterüi breviores, elliptica, fuscescentes, peDucido-marginatæ, dorso margineque fusco-squamosis :  primum  
 explanatoe,  demum,  capsulis maturis,  longitudinaliter  conduplicatæ. 
 Capsidoe numerosissima,  intense fuscoe,  globosæ,  annulo  lato  cinctæ,  breviter pedicellata. 
 Semina  fusca,  subvotundata,  tuberculata.
