A x elegant slender F e rn , easily jiropagated, and when
successfully grown making a magnificent exhibition p lan t; very
easily cultivated.
An evergreen stove species.
Native of Brazil and the VNst Indies.
In tro d u c ed into the Royal Gardens, Kew, iu the year 1841,
having been received from the Royal (la rd cn s, Berlin. I t
appears to have been known in some English (jardeiis,
however, as early as 1820.
F ronds glabrous; pinnate, shape narrow llncar-hmccolate;
pinnæ alternate and crowded. Thei-e arc from one hundred
to ouc h u n d red and th irty pairs of pinnæ on each frond.
