Sterile and fertile fronds different. Sterile frond sessile,
elongated, and ascending; up p e r portion scarcely lobed, rcm-
form, permanent, elevated, spongy, and depressed. F e rtile frond
simple, horizontal, thick and coriaceous, divided, and widening
upwards. A rticulated with the rhizoma.
A'eins repeatedly forked, and distantly anastomosing; venules
in te rn a l and compoundly reticulated.
Sori occupying the lobes.
