to  circumstance,  upon  the  ledges of cliffs  or  on  the  
 shore ;  the  eggs  are  laid  in  June.  
 Mr.  Saunders  informs  us  that  the  migrations of  this  
 species  extend  to  the  Mediterranean  and  Black  Seas,  
 but  it  is  certainly a  very  scarce  visitor  to  the  former.  
 The only  two  specimens of  this  Gull  in my own  possession  
 were  obtained off  Great  Yarmouth  in  the  winter  
 season.
