Galix 5-leaved. Corolla bilabiate, ventricose. The f i f t h sterile filament longer than
the rest, and bearded on the upper side. Anth ers smooth. Capsule ovate,
2-celled, 2-valved. Seeds numerous, angular.

Stem pubescent, leaves serrulate, lanceolate-oblong, sessile j flower paniculate, sterile
