Calix 3-leaved, Petals six to nine. Seeds naked.
SPECIFIC CHARACTER.
Leaves three-lobed, very entire, lobes round, obtuse, scape one-flowered. Willd.
SYNONYM.
A nemone hepatica, Willd. Sp. PI. 2. p. 1273.
Root perennial, consisting of numerous long fasciculated fibres of an
umber-brown colour. Leaves all radical, cordate, three-lobed, margin
turned towards the under disk, partly sempervirent, of a leathery tex-
