Cerambyx with the body depressed^ the sides of the thorax not spinal^ the elytra with the tips truiicate, the anteiinee
longer than the body, the legs long with the thighs thicliened and the posterior tibiae dilated, testaceous, setose-silky,
opaque, with the elytra fulyous, the tips black ; the antennas black with brown tips, the 7th and 8th joints buffcoloiu
ed; legs black, the femora fuh'ous at the base.
Length of the insect 6 hues.

Purpm'icenus black, with the pronotum scarlet with 4 black spots, the elytra also scarlet with 8 black spots, the
two anterior being lateral the others dorsal; body beneath black with the collar scai-let. (The female is similar, but
has shorter antennaB.)
Length of the insect 10—11 lines.

Purpuricenus fulvo-rufus, capite, antennis, punctis 3 pronoti, scnteUo, punctis (j elytrorum (2 parvis lateralibus,
4 dorsalibus, ultimis duobus fasciam iuterinptam formantibus), coxis omnibus, mesosterno, et apice abdominis,
nigris.
Pm'pimcenus fulyons-rod, with the head, antenna;, 3 spots on the pironotmn, scntellnm, 6 spots on the elytra
(2 small and lateral, 4 dorsal, the two binder ones forming an interrupted fascia), all the coxse, the mesosternum,
and the apex of the abdomen, all black.
Length of the insect 10 Imcs.
