Pliasma eloiigatum cylmcli-icum, albido-fusoum, capite postico spinis numerosig armato, prothorace spiíiulÍ3 8 per
paria dispositis, mesothorace (prothorace plus quam triplo longiori) valde spinoso, spinis antiois majoribus ;
tegminibus griseig medio in tubérculo magno conico elevatis ; alig abdomine brevioribug pallide fuscis, area costali
griseo fusco-rpie varia, abdomine valde elongato, inermi, segmento Sto ad apicem supra elevato, oviductu brevi
simplici ; pedibus, príesertim intermediis, brevibus, simplicibus, femoribus anticig parum dilatatis, articulo primo
tarsoriun anticorura valde elongato.
Pliasma elongated, cylindric, buff-brown coloured, tbe hiud part of the head armed -vvith numerous spines ; the
prothorax armed with 8 small spines arranged in pairs ; tbe mesothorax elongated (more thau thrice the length of
the prothorax), very spinose above, the anterior spines being the largest ; the tegraina grey, each having the middle,
near the shoulders, elevated into a large raised conical tubercle ; wings shorter than the abdomen, pale brown, the
costal area varied with grey and brown ; abdomen very much elongated, unarmed, the 5tb segment with a raised
tubercle at its extremity above ; the oviduct short and simple ; legs, especially the middle ones, short and simple, the
anterior thighs rather dilated ; the fii-st joint of the anterior tarsi much elongated (female).
Length of the msect 4 inches. AlHed to Ph. Aiu-itum Fabr.

Phasma filiforme antenuis pedibusque longis gracillimis, viridi-fuscum ; capite luteo, inermi ; antennis fuscis,
albido 6-annulatis ; prothorace luteo, fusco vario ; mesothorace graciUimo, subscabro ; tegminibus brevibus, nigris,
margine interno ráidi, versus humeros parum angul.ato-elevatis ; alis abdomine brevioribus, fuscis, area costali
nigricanti venis transversis pallide ì-iridibus ; abdomine cyhndrico apice appendionlis duobus divergentibus instructo ;
pedibus inennibus, femoribus tibiisque ad apicem pallide vix'idi late-annulatis, articulo primo tarsorum elongato.
Phasma filifoi-m, witli the antennce and legs long and very slender, green-brown ; the head luteous and unarmed ;
antennae brown mth 5 pale buff rings ; prothorax luteous, varied with bro™ ; mesothorax very narrow, rather
rough ; tegmina short, black, with the inner mai-gin green, slightly angularly elevated near the shoulders ; wings
shorter than the abdomen, brown, the costal ai-ea blackish with the vemg triinsversely streaked with p.ale green ;
abdomen cylindric.il the tip furnished with two diverging appendages ; legs imarmed, the femora iiud tibioe broadly
annulated with p.ale green near the tips, tlie first jomt of the tarsi elongated (male—fore legs wanting).

Phasma clongatum, aptorum, cyliudricum, inter pedes intermedios panilo dilatatum, fuscum opaciun, inerme ;
thorace et abdomine longitudine fere sequalibus (mesothorace quartam partem longitudinis corporis excedente) ;
pedibus .auticis elongatis, gracilibus, articulo primo tarsorum elevato ; pedibus intermediis brevioribus crassioribus
(proosertim femoribus), his ante apicem iutus spinulosis ; pedibus posticis subelongatis, gracilibus, tai-sornm articulo
Imo parum elong.ato, abdominis apice dilatato fisso.
Phasma elongated, wingless, cylindrical, the body suddenly dilated between the middle feet, opaque brown,
unarmed ; the thor.ax and .abdomen nearly equal in length, the mesothorax being more than one-fom-th of the length
of the entire body ; fore logs elongiited, slender, the basal joint of the tarsi dilated above ; middle feet short and
thickcncd, especially the thighs, which are armed near the tip within with several small spines ; hind legs rather
elongated, slender, the first joint of the tarsi slightly elongated, apex of the abdomen dilated and cleft (male).
