I have compared a specimen of this bird, which is in my own possession,
with d’Orbigny’s type in the Paris Museum and the example
of N . fulvescens which is in Mr. Strickland’s collection. It seems to
agree with both of these nearly enough to induce me to. regard the
several appellations given by these writers as probably synonymous.
