This bird very, closely resemble^ the B. semirufus in colour, but
has the,lores, middle qf the throat, rietal striee and breast yellow, the
chestnut occupying the sides of the- throat and dividing it from the
striee. The bill is rather more finch-like than in the former species.

This group forms a series, the first members of which are closely
allied to the Bdarremones, and have the bill nearly as strong, and of
the same form as in that genus. But they grow gradually more
tenuirostral, and ultimately show striking affinities towards Trichas
and other forms of the Mniotiltince, with which they might at first
sight be easily confounded.
