Grows in “ inundated places on the river St. Lawrence, Hudson’s Bay,
and Labrador,” Pursh. Flowers in June and July.
This delicate little plant is rare. Pursh describes it on the authority
of the Banksian Herbarium. For the specimens from which the drawing
was made I am indebted to James G. Tracy, of Albany, who
states that they were found on the banks of the Hudson.
