GENERIC CHARACTER.
Calix 5-cleft or 5-toothed, the lower segment mostly elongated. Stamina diadel-
phous. Legume the length of the calix, 1-seeded, subrostrate, and valveless.
SPECIFIC CHARACTER.
Stem pubescent, erect; leaves ternate ; folioles oblong-lanceolate, entire, obtuse, with
a cuspid point; flowering spike oblong, on a very long peduncle; bracts
broad-cordate, acuminate, and deciduous ; carina very short j legume roundish,
rugose, with transverse, serpentine nerves. B.
